YİĞİTCAN HEKİMOĞLU

National Athlete / GAU Master Degree Student

Representing the Republic of Turkey, Yigit represented Turkey as their national athlete in the 16th World Athletics Championship competition held in the capital of the UK, LONDON! His personal motto is ‘’I’m a sportsman who’s completely focused on my goals!’’

Yigitcan Hekimoglu has also raced alongside the world champion Jamaican athlete Usain Bolt in the 4x100 metre race, and is the first member of the Turkish athletic team in history to have participated in the World Championship competition for the 4x100 metre event.

Winner of 3rd place in the Istanbul 2017 BALKAN Championship event, and repeatedly successful in regional competitions throughout Turkey.

Athlete in both the singles and doubles championship competitions throughout Spain, France, Serbia, Turkey and Cyprus.

Esra Gökalp

BADMINTON - PHYSICAL EDUCATION & SPORTS STUDENT

World champion before the age of 19, Esra is also a winner of the Balkan championships, and has already won the Champion of Turkey title! Esra also competes for the Turkish Inter-University Team, and is an individual champion of the Turkish national team.

GAU MANAGEMENT OF INFORMATION SYSTEMS STUDENT

Erkan currently holds 3rd place in both the Turkish national singles records and the Turkish Inter-University Team, and competes as one of Turkey’s best national players.
