THE EXHIBITION OF POLYPHONIC ARCHITECTURE WHICH CONSISTED OF WORK OF ARTS OF GAU ARCHITECTURE STUDENTS WILL BE OPENED AT YILDIZ TECHNICAL UNIVERSITY

The Faculty of Yıldız Technical University will be accommodating the projects which titled under Polyphonic Architecture of GAU Architecture Department students during the dates of 1-30 April 2013 under the Yıldız Gatherings-2013.

The exhibition was organized by GAU Architecture, Design and Fine Arts Faculty and curated by GAU Head of Painting Department Dr. Mehmet Adil and also the exhibition organization committee is consisted of GAU Head of Architecture Dept. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Shahin Keynoush, Dr. Begüm Gücük and teaching staff Gülten Göze.

“A Significant Indication of the Education Quality”

The exhibition organization committee has further explained that the main theme of the exhibition which will be held with a title of “Polyphonic Architecture: contemplating contemporary design in Cyprus - Works-in-Progress” is the design progress in Architecture. It has also been underlined that the exhibition which reflects the education philosophy of GAU Architecture Department is also emphasizing a multi-actor structure due to its significance of progress and researches in design and social context and responsibilities of the design. In order to describe the multi-layered progress the exhibition is been referred as Polyphonic Architecture. Emphasis is also made upon the significance of the point of student development besides of the education quality due to the exhibition to be realized with the cooperation of Architecture Departments of YTU, the leading university of Turkey, and GAU.

The opening of the exhibition organized in regards to the Yıldız Gatherings is on 1st of April 2013 Monday at 12:30 in YTU Faculty of Architecture Deanship Hall. GAU Architecture faculty students’ works can be visited between the dates of 1-30 April.
