Objectives of the Course

  • to familiarise students with the the historical development of environmental protection from a legal perspective 
  • to examine the key legal tools and techniques that are employed to regulate environmentally harmful activities and the related enforcement mechanisms.

Explain the principles of environmental protection, sustainability and international environmental law across areas such as pollution control, climate change, biodiversity protection and water governance, and understand the legal tools used to achieve environmental and sustainable objectives.
