GAU’S 33rd SEMESTERS’ GRADUATION CEREMONY WILL TAKE PLACE BETWEEN MAY 31 - JUNE 1

The Girne American University (GAU)’s 33rd Semesters’ Graduation Ceremony will take place between May 31 - June 1 at Girne City Amphitheatre, with the participation of the deceased president of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Turgut Özal’s grandson, Turgut Özal.

 

According to a statement about the topic made by GAU, mentioned that around 2000 students will be graduating this year and the ceremonies will take place two days in a row, from May 31 to June 1. At GAU’s 33rd Semester Graduation Ceremony, an Honorary PHD will be given to the deceased president of the Republic of Turkey Mr. Turgut Özal’s grandson, Turgut Ozal, who shares the same name as his grandfather, and is the ATBD (American Turkish Business Development) Administrator.

 

It was stated that, in the importance of the Honorary PHD during the time the deceased President Ozal was on duty, this title was planned to be given to him, but due to the untimely loss it could not be given to him and kept in the GAU archive.
