GAU’S STUDENTS LIVENED-UP THE KYRENIA TOURISM FESTIVAL

Within the cooperation of The Girne American University (GAU) and The TRNC Ministry of Tourism and Environment, “The Tourism Festival” that took place in Kyrenia was very fun and enthusiastic with the country’s tourism sector, artists and market stalls.

 

Within the cooperation of The Girne American University (GAU) and The TRNC Ministry of Tourism and Environment, the activity that started at Ramadan Cemil Square in Kyrenia and at Girne Old Port, as the international students of The Girne American University attracted attention with their traditional outfits, the food stands that GAU’s students from the Department of Gastronomy set up offered Traditional Cyprus specialties, such as oven-baked swirl and olive halloumi bread, that they made themselves to those who came to the festival. Students from GAU’s Department of Pre School Teaching designed the clothes which the children were wearing at the festival and did face paintings. Also the audience had joyous moments by watching GAU’s Modern Dance Group’s dance performances.

 

The Kyrenia Tourism Festival at the Kyrenia Harbour had 40 stalls that represented food, drinks and handcrafts of the TRNC culture
