GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board Serhat Akpınar and Cyprus Science Committee continue to sign important agreements for Higher Education in TRNC.

Girne American University (GAU) Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board Serhat Akpınar and the science committee accompanying him, who went to  Kazakhstan to make contacts, signed important agreements.

Serhat Akpınar, who stressed that the visit to Kazakhstan went very well, stated that "In addition to GAU, we had some very useful contacts as the President of the Association of Cyprus Universities."

Akpınar, who stated that significant improvements have happened in the Management Meeting of the Kazakhstan Language Institute, expressed that "We are taking steps to establish Cyprus Turkish Language Institution. We are on the road to the fatherland to provide direction for major projects. Girne American University, American University of Cyprus and Association of Cyprus Universities signed a historic agreement with Kazakhstan Language Institute."

Akpınar, who stated that "On this special day, we have received support from the Linguistic Society of Kazakhstan and Turksoy about the Cyprus Turkish Language Association we will establish in TRNC", expressed that "We were there as TRNC for this historic meeting. It was a great day for my country, GAU, KAU and Association of Cyprus Universities.", then stressed the followings:

"We also have been deemed worthy of a special prize from the. I and Mr. Olgun Üstün have heard a great honor from this moment we lived and experienced. After the agreement with the Linguistic Society of Kazakhstan, we also have made agreements with the University of Turan."

Round Table Meeting

GAU committee, who participated in the Round Table Meeting named "Turkey Epics from Past to Present" on the first day of their visit to Kazakhstan, then attended to the signing ceremony of the "Cooperation Protocol" signed between the International Kazakh Language Society, International Turcology Center and Association of Cyprus Universities.

At the ceremony a signing ceremony was held between; the Association of Cyprus Universities and the Association of universities of the Republic of Kazakhstan; American Education Consortium, Turan University and Kainan University; American University of Cyprus, Turan University and Kainan University; Girne American University, Turan University and Kainan University.

While Serhan Akpınar put signature on to the agreements on behalf of the GAU and Association of Cyprus Universities, Vice Chairmen of the Board of Directors Olgun Üstün put signature on the agreements in the name of KAU.

The Tomb of Dede Korkut was visited

After the signing ceremony, the committee, who went to the Kızılorda, donated books to the University of Kızılorda Dede Korkut while visiting the Tomb of Dede Korkut and attended the signing ceremony of the "Cooperation Protocol”, signed between the University of Kızılorda Dede Korkut and Girne American University.

At the same meeting, the "Cooperation Protocol" was signed between the American Education Consortium and the University of Kızılorda Dede Korkut.
