International Workshop On Economics and Finance Starts at GAU

“International Workshop on Applied Economics and Finance” which was organized jointly by Girne American University (GAU) Faculty of Business and International Network for Economic Research (INFER) have started.

                                              

 

GAU International Workshop on Applied Economics and Finance started with the participation of many local and foreign expert scientists. GAU Vice Chancellor of Board of Administrators Assoc. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi performed the opening speech of the Workshop and stated the followings;

 

 

“I am honored for organizing the International Workshop on Applied Economics and Finance in TRNC, particularly in Kyrenia. I hope that in the future, we will continue to host similar international organizations. The organization of the Workshop in GAU and generally in TRNC is a very important success and I also take the pride of this. In the Workshop which will last 2 days, expert scientists will make presentations regarding their own fields.

 

 

It is obvious that education in TRNC is a locomotive in the development. In addition, now, TRNC is in the position of an education island. We, as GAU Global Science Family, attach great important to quality of education and perform our investments in this direction; therefore, we often organize similar international organizations within our constitution.”

 

Chairman of the Economic Council of Turkey Prof. Dr. Ercan Uygur, who made a statement about the Workshop on GAU TV, stated as follows;

 “International Workshop on Applied Economics and Finance is a part of International Network for Economic Research and holding this international organization in your university is very important. Notices and studies which will be presented in the Workshop have a great importance in terms of content. For 2 days, we will be able to meet students and academicians from other countries.”

 

GAU is really successful with its academicians, students and campus. I think that the subjects, which will be shared during two days, will be very helpful for the students.”

 

In the first day of the Workshop, presentations about “Accumulation, Income Generation and Balance”, “The Kuznets Curve in the Environmental Development of Tourism”, “Diagnostic Criterion for Approximate Factor Structure”, “Effects of Software Piracy on Euro-Capital Market”, “The Golden Rule of Discount for Civil and Military Projects” and “Indicators of the Intimidation Capacity of Turkey on the Business Index against Greece” have been performed.
