Girne American University CEO and Vice Chancellor of the Board, Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi has assessed the issues on the agenda at a television program he participated in.

Vehbi, who reminded that GAU is celebrating its 30th year in higher education, drew attention to the importance of sister university in Kishniev, the capital of Moldova after England, America, Turkey and Hong Kong.

Moldova American University

Vehbi stated that they cooperated with Turkey Embassy of Moldova and the President of Gagauzia for Moldova American University and GAU American College and expressed that; “We are raising our ‘quality education’ principles on the solid foundation, which we have started in the field of education by providing services in five continents as Girne American University.”

Academic Cooperation Agreements

Vehbi stressed in addition that they have signed academic cooperation agreements with 3 universities from Poland, emphasized that these agreements will continue in the future and that GAU will continue to develop.

2015 Spring Festival

On a directed question, Assist. Prof. Dr. Asım Vehbi who replied that they have started GAU Spring Festival which has become a traditional with rich contents for the people of the region and the students, stated that GAU Spring Festival does not only include entertainment, but also provides a number of joint cultural and artistic work.

Vehbi explained that "Spring Fest", which is held under the sponsorship of Telsim Freezone, has a rich content and stated that; “We would like to welcome our people in this festival with great pleasure.”
