Celebrating its 30^th academic anniversary 2014-2015, GAU is showing its difference in developing its Aviation department in the world which globalisation, technology, communication and transportation is on the run.

At the announcement made about the GAU Aviation High School Department and job, the GAU Flight Education Organisation, Quality and Security Manager Saygin Gonc, drew attention to the following.

Gonc expressed that the aim of the Pilotage education program is to bring up pilots for the civil aviation sector, as there are a lot of need. The shareholder of the GAU Aviation, AFA, the Ministry of National Education Private Course Confirmation, Civil Aviation General Directorate, Air Taxi Operation Licence and the Aviation Education Consent Organization (FTO) Licence and finally in the past week, the Turkish Republic Civil Aviation General Directorate has consented the flight Training Warrant document retrieval. Gonc added on that in the Pilotage Department the education is divided into two parts, in the first part, fundamental sciences, fundamental Aviation sciences, legal knowledge about flights and general knowledge lectures are given to students. In the second part of the course, pilot training takes place in Turkey with the GAU aeroplanes under the management of GAU.

First two aeroplanes will be received in June

Gonc went on expressing that the GAU has invested in 5 first hand Diamond Pilotage education aeroplanes, and that the countdown for the two aeroplanes has started.  The managers have entered an agreement with AFA on the service and treatments of the aeroplanes.

Gonc has also underlined that the 5 Diamond Pilotage Education aeroplanes has been bought on the recommendation of the Atlantic Flight Academy and that they have signed an agreement for the services and treatments of the aeroplanes the GAU has took into account many factors before choosing these aeroplanes like, the users, the importance of education, the features of the aeroplanes, and to enable the opportunity to the Aviation department to give the best quality education it can, the GAU has worked with specialist to make the best choice.

Drawing attention to the cooperation made with the International Aviation Academy and AFA, Gonc  implied on the fact that the GAU is the first on the TRNC to have gained the consent of the Turkish Civil Aviation Certificate and that the Pilotage Education is going to break the grounds of the aviation sector.

GAU High School Pilotage Department educations are continuing in the Vechi Hurkus building

At the end of  the announcement Gonc underlined that in the 2014-2015 academic year under the GAU Cyprus Premises Kyrenia campus management, the Aviation High School is continuing its education in the Vecihi Hurkus building, with the Pilotage, Civil Air Transportation Management, and the Civil Air Cabin Services departments.
