GAU Summer 2010 Semester Registration

1. As per decision taken by the University Board of Directors’, students on academic probation can take 2 new courses and repeat 1 course.
2. Registered students may take a maximum of three new courses providing that their CGPA is 2.00 and above.
3. Students who have 4 courses left to graduate can take these courses (total credit hours not to exceed 12) with the approval of the faculty and department to the fact that they have a feasible CGPA for graduation at the end of the summer term).
4. Students, who successfully complete Foundation English Program, can take maximum number of 3 new courses from the first year of their department studies, providing that no clashes occur in the schedule.
5. Graduating students, wishing to increase their CGPA can repeat the maximum number of 3 courses. Their latest grades will be shown on their transcripts.
6. The registration period of Summer 2010 Semester is between 16th June 2010 and 18th June 2010. As of 21st June 2010, students will be charged late registration fee of 15 Euro per working day. Students will not be allowed to register after 31th June 2010.
7. Courses of Summer 2010 Semester will start from 21st June 2010. An attendance of 75% is required.
8. No “Add/Drop” will be allowed during the Summer Semester.
9. Students registering for Summer 2010 Semester are required to close their debts from the previous semesters. 2 installment will be provided for our summer school.
10. Payments for Summer Semester will be made per course. No additional activity fee will be charged.
11. Students with any Scholarship/Discount during Spring 2010 Semester, will be able to have a maximum 40% scholarship/discount providing that at least 2 courses are taken and the conditions for the scholarship/discount are fulfilled.
12. Students with not scholarship/discount will benefit from a 20% discount per courses, providing that at least 2 courses are taken.
13. Graduating students with one course left will receive a tuition fee reduction as per conditions mentioned in Article 11 and 12.
14. Students paying the fees in advance will be able to register according to the conditions mentioned in the Article 12.
15. The registration rules of the students on the Work Team list will be defined according to the demand of the unit. These students should visit Student Accounts Department in order to submit their applications in the nearest future.
