Tıp Programı Hakkında

 

Program Profili

Girne Amerikan Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi tarafından sunulan eğitim programında üstün akademik niteliklere sahip öğrenciler yetiştirilmesi hedeflenmektedir. Amacımız; tıp bilimindeki evrensel gelişmelere endeksli, toplumun sağlık sorunlarına tam olarak cevap verebilecek bilgi ve beceriye sahip, bilimsel gelişmelere katkıda bulunulabilecek yeterlilik ve yetkinlikte hekimler yetiştirmektir. 

Programdan mezun olabilmek için gerekli koşullar (ders ve/veya kredi sayısı, staj, vb.):

Altı yıllık eğitimi başarıyla tamamlayan öğrenciler, toplam 360 AKTS (ECTS) kredisiyle mezun olmaya hak kazanırlar.

Eğitim programı profili entegre sistem olup Temel Tıp Bilimleri, Dahili Tıp Bilimleri ve Cerrahi Tıp Bilimlerinden oluşmaktadır. İlk 4 yarıyıl "Temel Tıp Bilimleri". 5. ve 6. yarıyıllar "Klinik Bilimlerine Giriş" olarak tanımlanmıştır ve dersler yarıyıllıktır. 7., 8., 9. ve 10. yarıyıllar "Klinik Bilimler" olarak tanımlanmış olup, dersler dönüşümlüdür. 11. ve 12. yarıyıllar "Aile Hekimliği (Staj Dönemi)" dönemi olup, dersler dönüşümlüdür. 6. sınıf yani staj dönemi, Girne Amerikan Üniversitesi ile Mersin Üniversitesi arasında imzalanan iş birliği protokolü çerçevesinde Mersin Üniversitesi'nde gerçekleştirilecektir. Akademik takvimimizde yarıyıllar 14 hafta, Klinik Bilimler 84 hafta, Aile Hekimliği ise 52 hafta sürmektedir.

Temel Tıp Bilimleri: Temel Biyokimya I-II, Genel Fizyoloji, Tıbbi Fizik, Tıbbi Biyoloji ve Genetik I-II, Davranış Bilimleri, Tıbbi Terminoloji, Halk Sağlığına Giriş I-II, Bilgisayar, Atatürk İlkeleri ve İnkılâp Tarihi I-II, Türk Dili I-II (Atatürk İlkeleri ve İnkılap Tarihi dersi sırasında yabancı öğrenciler Türkçe Hazırlık derslerine devam edeceklerdir), Tıbbi İngilizce I-II-III-IV, Tıp Hukuku, Sağlık Ekonomisi, Aile Hekimliğine Giriş, Sağlık Yönetimi, Tıbbi Etik I-II, Genel Histoloji, İlk Yardım, Anatomi I-II-III, Klinik Biyokimya I-II, Özel Histoloji, Fizyoloji I-II, İmmünoloji I-II, Biyoistatistik I-II, Biyofizik I-II, Spor Hekimliği, Biyomedikal I-II, Embriyoloji, Klinik Fizyoloji, Temel Mikrobiyoloji, Tıp Eğitimi.

Klinik Bilimlerine Giriş: Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıklarına Giriş, Cerrahiye Giriş, Klinik Mikrobiyoloji I-II, Patoloji I-II, Farmakoloji I-II, Tıp Tarihi, Tıbbi İngilizce V-VI, Klinik Genetik I-II, Bilimsel Araştırma Teknikleri I-II, Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğuma Giriş, İç Hastalıklarına Giriş, Deontoloji.

Klinik Bilimler: İç Hastalıkları, Enfeksiyon Hastalıkları ve Klinik Mikrobiyoloji, Göğüs Hastalıkları, Kardiyoloji, Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları, Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum, Genel Cerrahi, Klinik Farmakoloji I-II, Halk Sağlığı I-II Üroloji, Kalp ve Damar Cerrahisi, Kulak Burun Boğaz Hastalıkları, Adli Tıp, Radyoloji, Nükleer Tıp, Radyasyon Onkolojisi, Anesteziyoloji ve Reanimasyon, Çocuk Cerrahisi, Göğüs Cerrahisi, Plastik ve Rekonstrüktif Cerrahi, Nöroloji, Ortopedi ve Travmatoloji, Psikiyatri, Nöroşirurji, Göz Hastalıkları, Dermatoloji, Fiziksel Tıp ve Rehabilitasyon, Çocuk Psikiyatrisi.

Aile Hekimliği (Staj Dönemi): Toplum Hekimliği, Kadın Hastalıkları ve Doğum, İç Hastalıkları, Psikiyatri, Cerrahi ve Acil, Çocuk Sağlığı ve Hastalıkları, Seçmeli Staj.

Mersin Üniversitesi ile yapılan anlaşmada tüm öğrenciler eğitimin sonsınıfını Mersin Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi'nde okuyacaklar.Girne Amerikan Üniversitesi (GAÜ) ve Antigua Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesi (UHSA) arasındaki İşbirliği Anlaşmasına göre, GAÜ'de ilk iki yıllık tıbbi eğitimini minimum 90 krediyle ve az 2.50 Genel Not Ortalaması (GNO) elde ederek tamamlayan öğrenciler, kalan dört yıllık eğitimlerini Antigua Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesinde almaya otomatik olarak hak kazanırlar. İsteyen ve yukarıda belirtilen şartları sağlayan öğrenciler eğitimlerine Karayipler'de Antigua Sağlık Bilimleri Üniversitesinde devam edebilirler.

Learning Objectives

At the end of the clinical internship period, intern doctor students of the Faculty of Medicine;

 

  1. Knowledge Goals
  2. Defines common internal and surgical health problems, tells their differential diagnosis and appropriate treatment options,
  3. Defines health problems that require urgent intervention,
  4. Explain the basic concepts of sexual and reproductive health,
  5. Explains the epidemiology and etiopathogenesis of common diseases in TRNC,
  6. It will define the ways of transmission of common diseases in the TRNC, and explain the protection measures for the person, society and the environment.

 

  1. B- Skill Goals
  2. Takes a detailed medical history, including the patient's sociodemographic characteristics,
  3. Performs systematic physical examinations of organ systems,
  4. Performs a psychiatric examination according to the age of the person,
  5. Identifies which organs or organ systems are related to health problems,
  6. Plans appropriate laboratory and imaging methods for the patient and evaluates the results,
  7. Refers patients who require further examination and treatment to relevant clinics,
  8. Monitors the baby and the pregnant woman from the beginning of life, determines the risk factors for the mother and her baby before, during and after the birth,
  9. Monitors healthy babies and children and plans preventive medicine services,
  10. Follow-up of chronic patients whose treatment is planned.

Term IV General Surgery Internship Learning Objectives

 

  1. The surgeon takes the patient's history, records it,
  2. Performs the general physical examination according to the surgical patient's problem, plans the treatment,
  3. Plans the examinations of the surgical patient,
  4. Makes the differential diagnosis of surgical diseases of the breast according to the signs and symptoms, if necessary, directs them to the specialist,
  5. Makes the differential diagnosis of thyroid and parathyroid surgical diseases according to the signs and symptoms, if necessary, directs them to a specialist,
  6. Makes the differential diagnosis of surgical diseases of the gastrointestinal system (stomach, intestines, liver, pancreas) according to signs and symptoms, and if necessary, directs them to a specialist,
  7. In case of acute caustic ingestion, makes the first intervention, plans the treatment process,
  8. Recognizes surgical instruments,
  9. Performs simple surgical procedures (opens vascular access, takes venous-capillary blood samples, enemas, inserts nasogastric tube and urinary catheter) under the supervision of a faculty member,
  10. Lists the basic principles of patient follow-up in the postoperative period,
  11. Evaluates the anamnesis, physical examination and examination results to determine the surgical indication,
  12. Communicates effectively with patients and their relatives, gives sufficient and understandable information about the disease,
  13. Can communicate effectively with colleagues and trainers, 
  14. Observes, questions and researches, distinguishes evidence-based information
