Each and Every Land and Port Will Be Reached
Students continue their Internships in International Waters and Seas
Students of GAU’s 4 year undergraduate program of Transportation and Logistics of Maritime and Transportation Higher-school who undertook training in simulator, training stations and open air laboratories are now continuing their internships in international waters.
Captain Eftal Safel, the Principal of Maritime and Captain Eftal Safel Transportation Higher School, has stated that GAU students who continue their education under a 4 year undergraduate program will have the opportunity to achieve internships in international waters and intercontinental seas.
Captain Eftal Safel, the Principal of Maritime and Captain Eftal Safel Transportation Higher School have further explained in regards to the internship programs of Maritime students:
“Gökmen İçel;
Voyages all around Meidterranean, Red Sea and Black Sea is undertaken by the 8500 gross tone Craned Dry Cargo Vessel. The vessel is equipped with Belie flag and foreign personnel. Gökmen İçel who is our student who continues his internship in M/V Vega Star vessel has claimed that he has not faced any difficulties in means of socialy and knowledge-wise and that he is using English as the medium language of communication. İçel also reported to us in his emails that he is directly responsible for cruise, berthing, hailing and mooring maneuvors and also is undertaking responsibilities in loading and evacuations.
“Emir Dağarslan;
Charter voyages all around Central America, Passific ports and Brasil shores and Black Sea is undertaken by the 4500 gross tone Craned Dry Cargo Vessel. The vessel carries the Panama flag and is equipped with English freighter. Our student has joined the vessel from the UBU port of Brasil. As he has reported in his mails, Emir claims to be well-prepared as an officer in means of maritime and sea knowledge. We observe from the photos that they are crossing by the wet docks of the Panama Channel.
“Gökhan Üçler;
As examined from the photo he is undertaking his internship at Agean and Adriatic sea in RO-RO vessel. Gökhan has telephoned us to confirm that he is having fun time at the vessel as he is expertising on his theoratical education on sea-freight.
Furthermore Safel stated that other Maritime students are also continuing their internships either under Turkish flagged or foreign flagged vessels all over the world thus they are numerously using the advantages of GAU.
