Serhat AKPINAR: “May 2015, be The Year of Peace and Health for Cyprus and the World.”

The Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators of GAU- Serhat Akpınar, subsequently to the declaring the 29th Year in higher-education of GAU as the “Environment and Nature Year”, has as well, upon the decision of the Senate, announced GAU’s 30th year in higher-education as the “Year of Peace and Health” on the 1st of September “World Peace Day” and wished that 2015 to be the Year of Peace and Health for Cyprus and the World.

 

The Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators of GAU- Serhat Akpınar further continued on his 1st of September “ World Peace Day” message and reported that:

 

 “ GAU Global Science family, in means of our social and communal responsibility as a country, have  announced year 2015 to be the “Year of Peace and Health” for the World and Cyprus as the civilizations with history of  conflicts, disagreements, chaos and wars between countries and communities will eventually meet in terms of agreement, international empathy and peace in 2015. We have decided to announce the year of 2015 as the Year of Peace and Health” following our decision on declaring the 29th higher-education year of GAU as the Year of Environment and Nature. The conflicts due to problems cultural differences, strategic interests and similar dynamics and diplomacy oriented problems may only be solved through diplomatic interactions, thus our Diplomacy School that will start education in 2015 Peace and Health year and as well will contribute to local and world peace and will raise the future opinion leaders who will have responsibilities to be the peace envoys of the world.

 

I wish that the year 2015 will bring peace and health firstly to our country and then to the whole world and wish that, nevertheless the years long peace, the uncertainness and instability which knotted the Cyprus problem will be solved by further positive steps and the sound will of determination.”
