Girne American University (GAU) Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts graduation projects of Department of Architecture will be analyzed by famous Turkish Architects who will come to North Cyprus to join the panel in GAU. The panel will be attended by famous architects and academicians, Mimar Sinan awarded architect Ziya Tanalı and Associate Professor Celal Abdi Güzer.

In the past few months, Chamber of Commerce of Turkey occupied the agenda with groundless claims that universities of North Cyprus give fake architecture diplomas. However Girne American University had joined the “Social Forum of Architecture” held by the Branch of Ankara of the Chamber of Commerce. Both GAU academicians and students gathered great attention with their successful presentations and workshops on the topic: “City and Human Rights”. Now Girne American University prepares to host famous academicians and architects of Turkey.
Panel of Graduation Projects in Architecture Education will be held in Karmi Campus

The panel which will be held in the Faculty of Architecture, Design and Fine Arts at 9 am, will be attended not only by famous architects and academicians from Turkey but also from North Cyprus. Architect Turulsan Aslan, from the Chamber of Commerce of North Cyprus and Girne American University academicians will make speeches in the panel. Assoc Prof. Zeynep Onur will be the moderator in the panel. Girne American University underlined that after 25 years of experience in high education, aim of the panel which is going to be attended by the most prominent professions at their fields, is to provide students’ development with conferences, seminars and workshops. The importance of those actives was also underlined in the statement made by GAU. Girne American University also underlined that not only scientific conferences and seminars but also activities held in GAU Karmi Campus, is the best answer to those groundless claims related with the universities of North Cyprus.
