President of the Republic Eroğlu Accepted GAU Science Committee
GAU Science Committee has been accepted by the President of the Republic Dr. Eroğlu.
With the presidency of GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Asım Vehbi Rector Prof. Dr. Yıldırım Öner; Vice-Chancellors Assoc. Prof. Sadık Ülker, Assoc. Prof. Zafer Ağdelen, Assoc. Prof. Olgun Çiçek and Secretary General Dr. Sualp Davut have attended in the GAU Science Committee which accepted by the President of the Republic Eroğlu.
In addition to global scale developments in higher education, nation’s higher education and future, President Eroğlu has also made important statements in the acceptation.
President Eroğlu pointed out contributions to nation’s economy made by TRNC Universities, development of Cypriot Turkish society and leading in breaking embargos. He also emphasized that with the diploma of the universities recognized abroad, campuses and education centers, nation’s flag is carried abroad and he will announce the voice of Cypriot Turkish society to the world.
GAU CEO and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Asım Vehbi thanked President Eroğlu on behalf of GAU Global Science Family for acceptation in the speech during the visit. Vehbi informed President Eroğlu about the developments in the world and nation during the year 2012, in addition to the global competence in 2013 and GAU’s goals on higher education. He also emphasized that with the global power of science and global GAU campuses abroad, he will continue to announce the voice of Turkish Cypriot society. Vehbi also pointed out movement of universitilization for breaking embargos, he also emphasized in addition to new academic departments, higher education diplomas which are valid anywhere in the world and approved diplomas by international accreditation and equivalency institutions, starting from YÖK (Council of Higher Education) and YÖDAK (Higher Education Planning, Evaluation, Accreditation and Coordination Council) are important reference to North Cyprus university system.
Vehbi also pointed GAU’s competence with other universities around the world, and the importance of intercollegiate common sense for higher education quality and higher education policies for global competence. Vehbi also emphasized for nation’s development and overcoming problems, GAU and global science staff will continue their production.
