GAU‘S Great Service To Community

GAU Humanities Faculty and Health Sciences Academy are going to implement a new project named Flying Angels which will serve as a model for social awareness.

Academic staff and students from GAU Humanities Faculty, Pre-School Teaching and Psychology Department and School of Nursing will take part in the project. Girne has been chosen as the pilot area for the project and it will continue with GAU Karpaz Life Campus. Later, it will be carried out in the whole TRNC.

Flying Angels Project Coordinator, Director of School of Nursing, Prof. Dr. İlgi Şemin and Head of Pre-School Teaching Department Asst. Prof Mehmet Toran made important statements to GAU TV. They have stated that project will be a model in all areas.

According to statement made from GAU about Flying Angels project, Nursery Academy and students will assist to elderly by eldercare, supporting them both psychologically and medically, and book reading which will increase social sharing with cultural and artistic activity organizations. Pre-school teaching department academic staff and students will also assist families which need help.
“Aim is to Support Society’s needs”

Flying Angels project aims to serve whole country, helping aidless people, elderly and child care with education. Project will serve as a model in whole nation and it will be an example of university-society collaboration. In addition to practical application of scientific information, project will help to improve student development.
“GAU Pre-School and Elementary school has been chosen as pilot schools”

Pre-School and Elementary School establishments; prep-school, nursery school, and the American Elementary school education classes have been chosen as pilot for the project and if pilot projects result in a positive way; GAU Flying Angels will be carried in whole Girne.
