Girne American University (GAU) Founding Rector Serhat Akpınar and a Committee accompanying him, paid a visit to Agriculture and Natural Resources Minister Erkut Şahali.

Under the presidency of GAU Founding Rector Serhat Akpınar, a committee consisting of GAU Rector Prof.Dr. Kutsal Öztürk and the Rector of Cyprus American University Prof.Dr. Uğur Özgöker, paid a visit to Agriculture and Natural Resources Minister Erkut Şahali. In the visit The Minister of Agriculture and Natural Resources Erkut Şahali was given information about GAU’s Karpaz Life Campus, Honey Forest, and the Agriculture Faculty which is in the scope of CAU and being established.

GAU Founding Rector Serhat Akpınar, emphasized in his statement that CAU Agriculture Faculty, which will start accepting students next academic year, will have the departments of Apiculture, Greenhouse Cultivation, Ornamental Platantion, and Horticulture and that the lessons will be given in two stages, where 2 days of lessons in Nicosia and 3 days of the lessons is planned to be given in Karpaz Life Campus.

Akpınar also stated that the establishment plan for Karpaz Life Campus will continue, Beekeeping Higher School, which will be founded in the body of CAU, will have studies to improve the production of Royal Jelly and Propolis. Akpınar also pointed out that with this improvement, beekeeping activities, which has turned into source of income for the local people, will be more beneficial with the scientific studies that will take place.
