The Aim is to point out the people who want to have special education and create social awareness

GAU Psychology Department is going to organize some activities named “Psychology Names” in aid of Karakum Special Education Center.

Between the dates 2-4 May 2012, the activity named “Psychology Days” is going to be organized in GAU Cyprus Premises of Girne Campus and the income will be donated to Karakum Special Education Center and Rehabilitation Center. Alongside with kermes, jumble sale and handicraft sale stands, there will be “Health and Psychology” themed various seminars and workshops.
The aim is point out problems and needs by creating social awareness

According to statement made by GAU, the following have been emphasized. With open to public activitiesö the aim is to raise awareness of the public about special education, point out people who want to have special education, moral and material support to Karakum Special Education Center and Rehabilitation Center.

In addition to the statement made by the organızıng members of the GAU Psychology Days, Musa Saygı is going to attend with a presentation “Working with Special Children” as spokesman, __Zeliha Uluboy is going to attend with a presentation “TRAUMA: Torture and Domestic Violence”, and Assoc.Prof.Dr. Tülin Bodamyalı with a presentation named “Sexual Health’ and Dr. Bevan Morris with a presentation “Transcendental Meditation”. Alongside with these seminars, GAU Performing Arts Dance Studios “Dance Therapy” workshops will be organized.

Activity will start on 4 May 2012 Friday at GAU Social Leisure Tourism Hotel Management & Hospitality Department’s Practice Center, Camelot Beach Club. Entrance fee is 8 TL per person and all of the income will be donated to Karakum Special Education and Rehabilitation Center. Activity will end with a picnic and a closing ceremony.
