During the celebration of its 30^th anniversary in 2014-2015 academic years Girne American University (GAU) hosted "Towards Success with Sait Gürsoy " seminar.

High school students of TRNC, parents and teachers showed great interest to the seminar which was held at  GAU Cybrus Kyrenia Campus İnternational Congress Centre Spectrum Hall.

GAU General Secretary Asst. Prof. Dr. Sualp Davut performed the opening speech before the seminar and stated that he made interviews with Sait Gürsoy at nearly 15 provinces, and said that this seminar which is held for university candidates and specially for the senior high school students before their selections for universities, have major benefits. While Davut pointing out that many students have question marks in their minds during University preference period, he said they believe the university candidate students will give more accurate decisions over their preferences with the things Sait Gürsoy told and responses he gave to the questions during the seminar. Noting the importance of university choice Davut emphasized that the decisions that will be made will have great importance for the future of students. 

Also, Davut situated short briefing about GAU, he indicated that as university they are in 30th academic year and said within the scope of GAU there are over 150 sections with students from 95 different countries getting education and academicians from over 40 different countries are being part of. In this direction Davut remark that with the campuses present at England, America, Hong Kong and Turkey GAU is a university with a full international status and emphasized that in addition to quality education to the students they provide continues scholarships for 7 years.

At the seminar which was carried out by Sait Gürsoy after the speeches,   he indicated that he doesn’t move together at the programs and seminars he made with the universities where he is unsure of the quality and the ones he research, and said that GAU is a university which proven itself with quality education and international concept. Besides the career choice, Gürsoy pointed out the important factor of how students get an education while having a profession, and for this in addition of choosing their section, choice of university is also very important.

In continuation of his speech Gürsoy cited that compared to the present day, future business life will need to be more extensive and he said that student’s needs to consider this topic really good at university selections.
