First Prize- 100% Scholarship in England

Girne American University (GAU) - on the eve of its 30^th Academic year- is organizing the third of the traditional annual Young Photographers Contests under the theme of “Peace and Health” in the 2014-2015 Academic Years.

The contest which will be for participation of ages between 14-25 years of age who are enthusiasts of photography and the art of photography will give the opportunity to be awarded with a 1 year 100% scholarship in GAU - Canterbury Campus Foundation School and 1500 Euros.

GAU announced that the admissions will continue until the Wednesday 23^rd of March 2015, and the runner-up prize will be 1 year 100% scholarship in GAU- Canterbury Campus Foundation School and 1200 Euros and the second runner-up will receive 1 year 100% scholarship in GAU- Canterbury Campus Foundation School and 1000 Euros.

The competing photographs will be voted by the public via the web page between the dates of 24^th of March - 6^th of April 2015 and it will be followed by the jury member assessment for the top 10 ranked photos and the results will be announced on 10^th of April 2015.

GAU also stressed that it aims to support the art of photography under the project of social responsibility as GAU represents the first and largest university of North Cyprus and Europe and that the aim and the goal of the contest is to prepare the students for a professional life and guide the young generation by contributing to their educational lives and build an awareness of the art of photography.
