Associate Professor Hakan Köksal Head of the Turkish Language and Literature Teaching Programme at the GAU Faculty of Education was presented with the Community Culture Award by The Turkish Cultural Research Institution.

The Chancellor Prof. Dr. Yıldrım Öner in a statement to GAU TV expressed his pride about the Service To Turkish Community Culture Award and pointed out that scholars from The GAU Faculty of Education have won countless prizes for scientific research and emphasized that the GAU was the only university from the TRNC to receive an award which indicated to the quality of the scholars as well as the quality of education at the GAU. Prof. Dr. Öner refered to the New Turkish Language Doctoral Program accredited by YOK and YODAK the only such program in the TRNC then carried on to thank Ass.Prof.Dr. Hasan Köksal and to wish him continuous success .
