Usual spring fest parade for the year 2014 has been done on 12th May.

Students, lecturers and university personnel gathered outside Girne Town Hall at 11:00.
Each faculty and School of Girne American University joined the parade with their own flag.
As the Faculty of Engineering lecturers and students we took our part and walked under our flag.

The parade setted off outside the Girne Town Hall at 11:00, continued the walk passing by the medieval Girne Castel, passed through the public and tourists along the road of historical Girne Harbour and ended up at the monument of the Mustafa Kemal Ataturk.

Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Sadık Ülker gave a speech to the crowd at the Ataturk monument.
He has emphasized that this parade has became a tradition not only for the Girne American University but also for the city of Kyrenia. He has also stressed that Girne American University has declared the 2013-2014 academic year as a year devoted for sustainable environment and nature and underlined that we should protect our environment to protect our youth and future.
