The Girne American University (GAU) 2019-2020 Academic Years’  Orientation Days have started.

 

Within these Orientation days, different organisations will be arranged for the new students to get to know the University, the University lifestyle and the TRNC.

 

The many activities within these Orientation days for the students to socialise and to adapt to their education life easier, GAU, along with the academic life, is aiming the students to fill their leisure time with their interests and talents by developing their social skills with the Club Stands.

 

According to a statement made by GAU, as GAU, the academic aspect of the individual is determined by the faculty of choice; the social aspect of the clubs developed in the university.

 

It was stated that students that have become a member of the clubs, the socialising process is developing rapidly and many activities are organized by the clubs. In line with the orientation program; the university and faculties will be presented with separate information presentations, student clubs and groups, seminars and cultural tours.

 

It was also stated that the “Welcome Party” , which is traditionally held every year, will take place on Wednesday, October 2, in order to integrate better and embrace the environment. It was emphasized that the event calendar will continue with October 1-4 University Clubs and Stands, October 3 Sunset Colour Festival, October 4 MCC Meeting, October 6  Protect the Seas and Environmental Activity.

 

The statement emphasized that university life is not only education and lessons, but also necessary for social and cultural development, entertainment and various social activities. It was stated that for the recognition of Northern Cyprus there will be tours organised to visit the towns; the tour will start with the Kyrenia Tour on Saturday October 5, October 12th the Capital, Nicosia, October 19 Famagusta and the orientation days will end with the Dipkarpaz Tour, October 26.
