The Goal Is To Contribute To The Information Society And Educational Development

The third Education workshop organized annually by Girne American University Faculty of Education is being held with the theme ‘‘Changing School culture in Information Society and lidership, councelling, success’’ this year. Scientists who direct education theory and nearly 100 counsellors who lead the practical side of education will participate to the workshop which will be held at Girne American University Cyprus Kyrenia Campus Millennium Complex Senate Congress Centre on Thursday the 12th of April 2012.

The Dean of Girne American University Faculty of Education Assoc. Prof. Dr Saadettin Yıldız made important statements concerning the workshop which is organized to bring new initiatives to the concepts of ‘‘leadership’’, ‘‘councelling’’ and ‘‘success’’, and to share new scientific information with educators who direct educational activities and events in pre- higher education institutions.
‘‘Universities Contribute to the Development of Information Society and Education with the Scientific Information they Generate’’

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saadettin Yıldız stated that the third Education Workshop is designed based on the idea that as school culture changes the ‘‘student-teacher-director’’ triangle should also update itself, and emphasized that the information and experience sharing between universities who generate information and pre- higher education institutions crucially contribute to the education system.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Saadettin Yıldız did not only touch upon the importance of sharing new ideas about the concepts of leadership, councelling and success, but also mentioned the importance of sharing the strains and difficulties experienced. The Dean stated that the school culture constantly updates itself and that the workshop will highly contribute to the development of information society and education.
