Girne American University (GAU) Fencing Team will represent TRNC in Intercollegiate Fencing Championships, which will be held in Zonguldak between April 15-19, 2015.

GAU Fencing Team, who always managed to enter between the top three universities in the Turkey Intercollegiate Fencing Championships, strictly continues to the preparations in order to capture the same success this year.

GAU Fencing Team, which was constituted in 2002, under the presidency of Girne American University Founding Rector and Executive Board Chairman Serhat Akpınar, made history as the first fencing team in TRNC.

GAU Fencing team, who came in second place in Turkey Intercollegiate Flore Competitions in 2012-2013, also won the 3rd place in Turkey by Songül Korkmaz at individual competitions.

GAU Men`s Fencing Team showed the success of obtaining the third place in Turkey at Turkey Intercollegiate Flore Competitions in 2013-2014.

This year, the University of Zonguldak will host the Turkey Intercollegiate Fencing Championship.
