Girne American University (GAU) continues to organize conferences, seminars and communes in the academic year 2014-2015.

During the conference organized by Ar-Ge Club and held at GAU Kyrenia Cyprus Campus GAU Millennium Senate Congress Centre, “Personal Development? Degression?” issues were discussed by the author Bülent Akyürek. In his speech, Akyürek elaborated the damages he predicted for personal development books, stated that the people that undergoes through a personal development is egotistical and shared his research on people who have been victims of the modern era due to personal development. Akyürek, who briefed short excerpts from the books he wrote on personal development at the conference, continued to speak about topics such as opposition to modernism and philosophy.
