Girne American University’s (GAU) Architecture, Design and Fine Arts Faculty took place at the conference, International Academic Association on Planning, Law and Property Rights organized in a Greek town, Volos.

“Planning, Law and Property Rights” conference organized by Tesalya University’s City and Area Planning section, which accepted three notifications from Girne American University; printed in an information leaflet for the conference. The notifications about ‘Controversial Land Ownership and Planning in Contested Lands’ were prepared by GAU’s lecturer from the Architecture Faculty, Hassina Nafa and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Balkız Yapıcıoğlu was presented about, ‘Property Wrongs in Northern Cyprus’. At the conference, the subjects were presented in brief and were accepted and took place in the conference book. These were ‘Property Wrongs in Northern Cyprus’ presented by, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Hossein Sadri, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Senem Zeybekoğlu Sadri about Mapping Conflicting Claims on Property Rights – Varosha.

Also, the research on the property issues in TRNC were presented at a conference by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Balkız Yapıcıoğlu.
