GAU Flyıng Angels Elderly and Child Care Support Project Continues

With the slogan that will be an example to other cities, “The strength of a community is set by healthy children and people”, Girne American University’s Faculty of Humanities, Nursing and Health Higher Education and Pre-School Teaching Department of the Education Faculties are continuing to undertake social responsibilities through the elderly and child care support project, Flying Angels.

 

Registration for Help and Services Continues

 

Gunay Beyzade states that the aim of Uçan Melekler- Flying Angels project, is to take the service to all areas in need of help, care and education for the elderly and children. She explains that this will be an encouragement for all areas and the project is good for the universities to come together. Beyzade also stated that the project is continuing.

 “Medical and Psycological Support, Care and Education Will Be Served to Homes”

 

Further information has been given about this project that those who are academics and students at Nursing Higher Education will be involved with elderly care, medical and phsycological support in the patients’ own homes, book reading, as well as culture and art events to help social sharing which will take place. The Pre-School Teaching Department  academics and students will share their knowledge and help families in need of support with pre-school child care, pre-school education, social, emotional and psychomotor development.
