GAU Sport Management (BSc) Programme Profile

 

International Focus and English Curriculum

The Sport Management programme at Girne American University is taught fully in English to prepare students for international managerial careers in the fast-growing global sport industry. GAU provides a truly international academic environment, training future leaders from diverse backgrounds. The curriculum combines business foundations, core sport management principles, data-informed decision-making and practical application to develop leaders capable of working in professional sports, marketing, facility management and sporting organisations. 

Programme Goals and Structure 

Course Structure: The 4-year, 8-semester programme requires 120 credits for graduation, mixing theoretical studies with practical applications.

Global Expertise Develop leaders with a scientific background capable of leading contemporary international sports associations and organisations.

Strategy and Operations Provide core expertise in management, marketing, finance and law specific to the global sports industry.

Industry-Ready Practicality Equip students with specialised skills to manage human, financial, and technological resources— utilising performance data and analytics to optimise sports operations fully preparing them to thrive in professional sports, athletic administration and non-profit sports agencies anywhere in the world.

International Network Students benefit from hands-on practical application and direct networking, with opportunities for internships at any of 140 sport clubs or 14-29 sport federations. 

Integrating Data Intelligence in Sports Operations

Courses Incorporate sports analytics for performance tracking, financial analysis and fan engagement strategies.

Local Application Students utilise data analytics to improve training schedules, analyse local sports performance and enhance event management.
