A press conference was held at GAU Istanbul Campus for the film “Seni Seviyorum Adamım”  (I Love You Man) which was sponsored by GAU and in which most of the scenes were filmed in the TRNC.   Actors Gizem Karaca, Barış Kılıç, Murat Serezli, Aslı Omağ, on behalf of VTR Production Galip Gültekin, Producer Biray Dalkıran also the CEO of GAU and the Vice Chancellor of the Board of Administrators - Assistant Professor Dr. Asım Vehbi were present.

The film "Seni Seviyorum Adamım (I Love You Man)" produced by the VTR Production which brings together TV screen’s loved faces Gizem Karaca and Barış Kılıç will be released on 21 November  2014.

With the Directorship of Biray Dalkıran the film set forth, emphasizes the state of Yeşilçam films adapted to the present. In the film, after the bad days he has experienced, Berk (Barış Kılıç) becoming disillusioned towards life moves to Cyprus, after meeting Ezel (Gizem Karaca) his life changes completely. The press presentation of the film that expresses the events Berk and Ezel went through in order to continue their lives in a completely different dimension was held at the GAU Istanbul Campus.

At the press conference of the film “Seni Seviyorum Adamım (I Love You Man)“ held at the GAU Istanbul Campus statements were made about the film.

VTR Production owner and producer of the film - Galip Gültekin in his statement at the press conference said;

“As the expression Seni Seviyorum Adamım (I Love You Man) has never been said to me I wanted a film with this name. This film seems to have highlighted the men, I hope to put my signature on a film that will highlight women with the name "Seni Seviyorum Kadınım (I Love You Woman)". During the process of this film by adapting Yeşilçam to the present and taking also the emotional aspect we tried to uncover a good film. During the period when we took the first steps for our film the director Biray Dalkıran  told us that he would be working with us and I believed that we would come up with great work. When we made the offer to Gizem Karaca and Barış Kılıç they accepted straight away. Likewise, as soon as hearing about the project the other actors supported".

Gültekin also said, "GAU was very supportive to us and provided us a really nice home during the shooting period of the film. In addition to these in the previous years while I was still in the period of my presidency in professional associations, GAU has upheld its support and assistance in all matters. We shot our film with a pounding heart, I hope that the audience watch the film with the same feelings.”

The CEO of GAU and The Executive Vice Chairman - Asst. Assoc. Dr. Asım Vehbi, said the following about the film “Seni Seviyorum Adamım (I Love You Man)”;

“We felt very excited during the filming.  We tried to provide the best of support during the process. If we were to talk about Cyprus, Cyprus is a University based island and more than 60 thousand of the 300 thousand population are students. Cyprus often stands out with its different aspects and to break these preconceptions also for our social responsibility projects, we tried to put forward the beautiful aspects of the island of Cyprus .In addition I believe that our communication faculty students will also benefit from this process in the best way. I think that the process of shooting of the film "Seni Seviyorum Adamım (I Love You Man)" was completed in the best way and I believe everyone is excited to watch this film. Finally, I offer my thanks to everyone who contributed.

The main actress of the Seni Seviyorum Adamım (I Love You Man) film - Gizem Karaca in a statement she made said the following;

“It was my first cinema film and I read the script in excitement within an hour. It was truly a sweet and sad love story and drew my attention. I was very excited when I heard it was taking place in Cyprus. I admired the texture of Cyprus. It is very different from Istanbul and the fact that there are not many films that have been shot there affected me positively for this project. I took place in the project with the excitement of the film being shot in Cyprus. In a general prospective the chemistry between all of the actors was amazing. I believe that we shot a good film by sitting with Biray Dalkıran in the amazing nature and talking about the scenes. I can say that it wasnt hard because the character that I played was like me. I played a chirpy girl and this tempted me even more. I believe a good film was produced. I really believe that it is an impressive film that the audience will be influenced by and couples in love will find something that will associate with them.”

The other main actor of the film “Seni Seviyorum Adamım(I Love You Man)” Barış Kılıç said the following in his statement;

“When I first read the script I thought it was a very humble story, and when we actually started filming I believed that we were going to produce a good film. During filming I shared Mr. Galip’s beliefs and I really wanted to take place in this production. It was my first cinema film and this feeling is amazing, I can’t compare it to any other. Cyprus was really pleasurable and fun. We all witnessed and experienced it. I haven’t watched the film and I am hoping to watch it with excitement like the others.”

Another actor of the film “Seni Seviyorum Adamım(I Love You Man)” - Aslı Omağ said the following in her statement;

“When the film was offered to me I was very excited. I took part in a cinema film with the actors from the film “Seni Seviyorum Adamım (I Love You Man)” for the first time.The most emotional part was the moment I came across Barış and Olgun Kaplan and we took part in some very good scenes. In addation, I think that it is a film that expresses the real beauty of Cyprus and as being of Cypriot origin I believe that we have reflected Cyprus in a good way. The expression “Seni Seviyorum Adamım (I Love You Man)” is not easy to say and I even get goose bumps while saying it now. I believe that we have produced a good film and that you will get great pleasure out of it.

Another actor from the film “Seni Seviyorum Adamım (I Love You Man)” - Murat Sezerli said the following in his statement;

“I met Mr.Galip in Finland.  I took part in this film completely by coincidence. In this film you will be able to see me in a state you have never seen before, it is going to be a surprise for you, because my scenes do not take place in the trailer. I take part in what is said to be the most crucial part of the film. I recommend you wait for the film with anticipation.”

Alongside Barış Kılıç and Gizem Karaca professional actors like Asuman Dabak, Serhat Özcan, Ayşen Gruda ve Yıldız Kültür have taken part in the film “Seni Seviyorum Adamım (I Love You Man)”  which is going to be released on Friday 21 November 2014.
