Minister of Environment and Natural Resources Hakan Dinçyürek said that the ongoing projects will continue to increase between the Ministry of Environment and Natural Resources and Girne American University (GAU).

Minister Dinçyürek has accepted the Girne American University committee in the leadership of Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board - Serhat Akpınar. Vice Chancellor of the Board Olgun Üstün and Lecturer - Sociologist Derviş Refik were also present during the reception.

Dinçyürek stated in his speech that GAU is one of the major locomotives of the education sector in the country.

Minister Dinçyürek who stated that the principle of continuity is based in government, reminded that there were cooperation activities carried out jointly with GAU in the previous period and that they desire to continue strengthening co operation with new projects.

Dinçyürek expressed that the University Underwater Centre`s projects and projects like honey and forestry have made ​​great contributions both to the Ministry and the country. 

  Dinçyürek continued as follows:

"Universities have a very important role in our country in terms of knowledge and human resources. Cooperating with you to use this potential in the best way for the public interest, must be an assignment for us. I also believe that there are new projects that will be managed together."

GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of the Board of Administrators - Serhat Akpınar stated in his speech at the reception that they wished success to Minister Dinçyürek in his new position on the occasion of the visit.

Akpinar emphasized that common cooperation between the University and the Ministry will continue in the future as it was in the past and that they are ready to produce new projects together.
