Graphic Design Week organized by the Department of Graphic Design, Girne American University, Faculty of Architecture, Design & Fine Arts continues.

During the 2nd Graphic Design Week with a slogan “Designer Our Names”, a variety of exhibitions, activities and workshop’s presentations were presented and Sibel Kemal Uzun, head of the Department of Graphic Design said they would raise the activity to an International Platform.

After the welcoming speech made by the vice rector Associate Professor Dr. Olgun Çiçek and Sibel Kemal Uzun, head of the Department of Graphic Design, the 2nd Graphic Design Week started with the exhibition of the students and Sibel Kemal Uzun, in an interview on GAU TV, said all these activities would contribute to the career development of the students.

Stating that Graphic Design Week became a traditional event, Uzun added that they would raise the activity to an International Platform. She further said that academic staff and students produced effective outcomes through the studio work and created awareness creating a valuable community work and giving important messages to the society.

Graphic Design Week, which also attracted attention of students from other universities from North Cyprus will continue with the video animation show on 13 January 2012 at 11:00 and the seminar “Career after graduation” to be given by the artist Nilgün Güney at 11:30.

The event held at the Girne American University Karmi Campus, Millennium Senate Congress Hall, will also be open to public and and be broadcasted live on GAU TV.
