GAU and Ordu Chamber of Commerce and Industry sign a Cooperation Protocol

Girne American University, on the eve of celebrating its 30th Academic Year, has cooperated with one more business protocol.

 

GAU General Secretary - Assist. Prof. Dr. Sualp Davut and GAU Ordu Representative Rana Deveci - on behalf of GAU and President of the Board of Ordu CCI - Servet Şahin and relevant authorities attended the signing on behalf of the Chamber.

 

GAU General Secretary Assist. Prof. Dr. Sualp Davut stated in his speech during the signing of the protocol that they plan to cooperate common fields of work with ICC both in academia and business. Davut emphasized that the protocol integrates an agreement to provide up to 25% of scholarships to specified departments of GAU for the members of CCI and their children who are not eligible for any scholarships. Davut also added that GAU has students from over 85 countries and lecturers from over 35 different countries. Davut finally added that GAU has internationally accredited overseas campuses in England, Hong Kong, USA and Istanbul where all students can benefit from their scholarships.

 

President of the Board - Servet Şahin on behalf of Ordu CCI has stated that they have been in cooperation with other universities but this is the first cooperation protocol which they have signed. Şahin added that this protocol will be beneficial in means of sharing academic, scientific and organizational experiences. Furthermore Şahin wished the very best for both GAU and CCI and hoped for development in student education and scientific researches.
