Mehmet Baykent, a GAU student, who participated both in young and seniors indoor league has achieved to enter the national team by, been the Champion of Turkey with 14:35 degree.


Mehmet Baykent who achieved to be the champion of Turkey with a degree of 14:35 in the championship held in İstanbul, is also announced to show participation in the tournament to be held amongst three countries; Turkey, Russia and Ukraine in the upcoming months.


The President of TRNC  Athletics Federation Ersin Doğaç, The Chancellor of GAU Health, Culture and Sports Office Türkay Akpınar, GAU Athletics Coach Halil Samani and Berk Tuna have all spoke to GAU TV that the success was an expected one and whished Mehmet Baykent further success whom is an ambitious, intelligent and successful sportsman. Akpınar futher stated that the near future is extended and compelling and that the real goal is the Olympics.
