Girne American University Cyprus Karmi Campus International Congress Center Spectrum Hall hosted the Puss in Boots play of Children’s Theater.

In the framework of 15 November Republic Day ceremony activities, the play of ‘Puss in Boots’ which was adapted by Gülen İpek Abalı from the French author Charles Perrault’s work of art, directed by Ünsal Sicilli and composed by Caner Anar  begins with an ordinary cat been inherited to the smallest son of the miller. Puss in Boots which had a colorful life with the boots have also was loved by the king due to his intelligence and also proves that he is not an ordinary cat by mediating to Princess and Miller’s Son for their happiness. The play which contextualizes the goodness and the adventures of Puss in Boots is conveying important teachings for the children and also for the parents via using a fun language. The play also emphasizes the importance of animal care by one to have nothing in his life except himself and reaching a life of his dreams which only achieved with the help of his cat. Puss in Boots is a fun to watch play will keep the parents’ and children’s interest dynamic with its tempo, fiction, music and other surprises.

The ‘Puss in Boots’ play drawn great interest from the pre-schools and primary schools under the schools of Girne district and GAU group of schools.



While celebrating the 27th anniversary of the Republic, a comment conveyed by GAU in relation to the topic stated that many other events like conferences, seminars, workshops, sports competitions will be held in the framework of Republic Day celebrations.



Emphasizing in the statement that the GAU Cyprus Karmi Campus’ saloon and stages are open to use by the culture and arts society, non-governmental organizations and sports clubs for similar activities, it’s been also stated that ETI Children’s’ Theater is congratulated for supporting the developing of imaginations and the skill of art of the children since the establishment-2001 as a social responsibility project.
