Girne American University has announced that a Basic English course with a full scholarship will be provided for students who will start their higher education.

The Head of Student affairs stated that students who will start their higher education in any of the 58 departments at Girne American University TRNC Kyrenia Campus in 2012-2013 academic year will be given full scholarship to attend 4 weeks English course prior to the English Prep School’s exam. The course will be given at GAU England Canterbury Campus and Turkey Istanbul Campus.

Students from TRNC and Turkey who will start their higher education with OSYM LYS exam and YODAK quota will benefit from the scholarship without having to pay an additional fee. It was also announced that GAU will provide education in 58 different departments in total, including its 10 new YOK certified departments.

Girne American University currently provides education in 11 different vocational high schools including Marine, Aviation, Performing arts, Law, Advanced Engineering Disciplines and Fine Arts, Architercure, Interior Architecture, International Business, Psychology, Psychological Counseling and Guidance, 5 academies, 8 faculties and 1 institute, 47 undergraduate, 31 postgraduate and 9 doctorate programmes. Starting from the academic year 2012-2013, the university will also start providing education in YOK certified Turkish Law, Chinese Language and Literature, Gastronomy and Culinary Arts, Classroom Teaching, Healthcare Management, Ergotherapy, Power Systems Engineering, Tokology, Civil Engineering and Civil Aviation Management.

It was emphasized that 200 students from TRNC will benefit from the scholarship which will apply to the academic programmes offered in England Cantebury Campus.
