2012 Dance Fest Will Be Held In GAU’s Stage

Girne American University Stage School and Performing Arts Academy will be hosting 2012 Dance Fest.

Chosen as the Most Successful Dance Education Center of 2010 by authorities in the Inter-University Dance Championships and coming first in different categories of international championships, GAU the Performing Arts Stage School is hosting 2012 Dance Fest with a slogan of “It’s time to Dance”. Dance Base and Golden Steps dance schools will also be performing on the night.

The students from the 3 dance schools will compete in differing categories and age groups with their dance performances to produce an unforgettable night for dance and art lovers.
2012 Dance Fest will take place on Tuesday, July 31 at 20:00 in the Spectrum International Congress Center in Kyrenia Northern Cyprus Campus of GAU.
Student applications for Performing Arts Dance Department are continuing.

GAU spokesperson revealed that student applications are continuing for the two-year and four-year Performing Arts Dance department, which is staffed by world-renowned Turkish and Russian dance authorities, artists and academicians. It was emphasized that Galip Emre, Turkey Dance Federation Board member and creator of the Functional Dance Theory, along with Oleg Manukovich, Liliya Biroğul and Suzan Heıjari-Erkan and many artists who have held leading roles in Russian and European opera and ballet performances give courses at GAUs Performing Arts Dance department. The Performing Arts Dance students who graduate from the two-year program earn the title of “Professional Dancer” and are eligible to begin their carriers as professional dance schools Dance Group or Soloist, Artist Director, Choreographer, Body Movement Specialist, Dance Theorist, Dance Researcher, Performance Studies, Research in Dance critics and Innovation, art organizations and Executive Advisor for institutions, while those who graduate from the four-year Performing Arts Dance department will receive the title of “Professional Dance Instructor” and will begin their carriers as Dance and Art Managers, Primary, Secondary and High School dance Instructors, Dance and Art advisors, and “Innovative Researcher” in Dance Education and Studies.
