GAU Chancellor Of Board Of The Administrator Akpınar, Hosted Gastronomy Students
Girne American University (GAU) Gastronomy and Culinary Arts students after they showed success at 14th International Istanbul Gastronomy Festival in Istanbul, they were hosted by GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar.
In the event that Far East, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, Turkic Republics, Turkey and 26 countries were participated and with participation around 1000, GAU Department of Gastronomy students achieved a worldwide degree and their achievement were greeted with great pride and appreciation. Besides Gastronomy Faculty’s 2nd and 3rd class students, academic Selcan Biryılmaz participated and they turned back from Istanbul Gastronomy Festival with 10 medals. They proved the international education quality of GAU once more.
Approval that was held in at GAU Kyrenia Cyprus Campus, Millenium Chairmanship Office, hosted by GAU Founding Rector and Chancellor of Board of Administrators Serhat Akpınar. It was held with the participation of Director of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management Assist. Prof. Dr. İsmet Esenyel, GAU Head of Gastronomy Department Assist. Prof. Dr. Hüseyin Bozdağlar and Doyen Chef Ali Özçil and Gastronomy students Fahri Arıhan Aydın, Ulaş Sürmelioğlu, Gökçe Ülker, Turgut Sonat.
Akpınar made a statement in approval and he said indicated that he has been following the gastronomy student’s works since the beginning of the year. He stated that they gain good reflections of their works that they executed. Akpınar said that they take a step forward to make the projects of the faculty better. Akpınar said that this process is a reconstructing process and students are also in this process. Akpınar in his statement that he made dedicated to students said that, “Success that you have executed in this reconstructing process give us a happiness and pride. I want to congratulate you for your achievements and your representation in organization. I wish you all the continuation of your achievements. Your achievements that you gained not only in TRNC but also in Turkey while we are taking steps to be the best, your achievement will be an important reference both for you and future graduates. What is important to us that you will be able to maintain your achievements during your graduation not only in the currently process.”
