Girne American University (GAU) Sport Coordinator Assoc. Prof. Dr. Muzaffer Doğgün has emphasized that the athletes of GAU have been successful in 2014-2015 seasons and won a name in international fields. Competition of GAU athletes and their ranks are as the following:

A-INDIVIDUAL SUCCESSES

1-Turkey Body Building and Fitness Championship (Also the selections of Turkey National Team)

2- Emre Özkaram has became the champion, selected for the Turkey national team and entitled to represent us at the Europe championship next week.

3- Emre Özkaram has ranked 5th at the Europe Body Building Championship that has been organized in Spain Santa Susanna.

4- Cemal Kayım, also the national athlete of TRNC in Kick Boxing; representing GAU in World Champinship organized in Portugese by ISKA Federation, has ranked second in 86 kg category.

5- Two of our athletes whom joined to the Turkey Interuniversities Table Tennis Championship as an individual, Özgün Öztürk has ranked 2th and Hüseyin Durmaz has ranked 3th.

6- Esra Gökalp has ranked 3th at Turkey Interuniversities Badminton Super Lig Individual competitions.

7- Berkay Çağay has ranked 3th at Turkey Interuniversities Fencing Championship Flore field.

8- TRNC Table Tennis Youth Individual Championship winner female was Elif Töre and the winner male was Cemal Karaşampiyon.
