Hastürer Attends GAU Career Days

Traditional Career Days which is organized every year by Girne American University attracted great attention.

In the Career Days in which the names who are at the peak in their careers attended, journalist Hasan Hastürer who is one of the writers of the Cyprus Newspaper met up with the students in GAU Millenium with the subject titled as “Journalism and Being a Journalist in Cyprus”.

The opening speech of the activity was made by GAU Vice Rector and Faculty of Education Dean Prof. Dr. Oğuz Karakartal and it drew great interest of GAU students.

Hastürer who made comparisons between the journalism in Cyprus and Turkey referred that nowadays with the improvement of communication instruments, journalism concept are discussed differently.

 

Hastürer emphasized that the journalism is a profession which last 24 hours and with this feature, it creates a difference in other professions and continued “Shift for a journalist last for 24 hours, journalism is one of the professions that life goes by so fast”.

Hastürer who also stated that he traveled many countries due to his career and followed so much subject recorded that “There are some professions that wherever you do them, it makes no difference. Conditions are almost same as one another. Journalism is one of them”
