📢 Based on the decision taken by our management, our 2025 Summer School will take place between June 20, 2025 and August 13, 2025.
GAU 2025 Summer School Rules :
Courses to be opened in the 2025 Summer Term:
“Provided that there is no conflict in the weekly class schedule”;
1-) Our students who are on academic warning are given the right to take a maximum of 6 new credits (maximum 2 new courses) in the summer school, for a total of 12 credits (maximum 2 new + 2 old courses). Our students who are not on academic warning but have a GPA (CGPA) lower than 2.00 are given the right to take a maximum of 9 new credits (maximum 3 new courses) in the summer school, for a total of 12 credits (maximum 3 new + 1 old course).
2) Our intermediate students will be able to take a maximum of 12 credits of courses (maximum 4 new courses) that they have not taken in previous semesters, provided that their cumulative grade point average (CGPA) is 2.00+, provided that there is no conflict in the weekly course schedule.
3) Students who have at most 12 credits of courses left to graduate (credit and/or non-credit courses with letter grades of F, W, NG or a maximum of 4 courses left that have not been taken before) and whose cumulative grade point average (CGPA) meets the graduation criteria (determined by the relevant Faculty and Department Head) will be able to take at most 4 courses, not exceeding 12 credits, provided that there is no conflict in the weekly course schedule.
4) Our students who have successfully completed the English Preparatory School and qualified to become first-year students will be able to take a maximum of 12 credits (maximum 4 courses) of new courses, provided that there is no conflict in the weekly course schedule.
5) Students who are graduates and want to increase their GPA can retake a maximum of 12 credits (maximum 4 courses) of courses they have taken and passed in order to increase their grades. The final grades of these students will be recorded on their transcripts.
6) The Final Registration Date for the Summer School 2025 is between June 16, 2025 and June 19, 2025. After the last registration day, registration with a penalty will be possible until June 30. There will be no registration for the summer school as of July 1, 2025.
7) Summer 2025 semester classes will start on June 20, 2025.
8) There will be no “add-drop” for courses to be taken in the Summer 2025 semester.
9) Students who want to participate in the Summer 2025 term and take courses must pay all their debts from previous terms, if any. This year, there will be 2 interest-free installments for the Summer term course fees.
10) Summer 2025 period fees are set at 120 Euros per credit (including VAT, based on daily exchange rate); no activity fees will be charged.
11) The 2025 summer school discounted package fee for our preparatory department students has been determined as 930 Euros.
12) According to our University's legislation, courses taken from another University during the Summer School will not be accepted. However, in very exceptional cases, with the approval of the Rectorate, courses taken may be considered as transfers. In this context, the relevant applications must be made by June 3, 2025. Late applications will not be accepted either.
13) Registration requirements for students who receive a work scholarship within our university will be determined according to the needs in the units they serve. The students in question must apply to the Student Affairs Accounting Manager as soon as possible.
