SCHOOL BOARD
JOB DESCRIPTION
The School Board consists of the School Director (Chairperson), Assistant Directors, and the Heads of Departments within the School.
The Board ordinarily convenes at the beginning and end of each academic semester, and may be called for an extraordinary meeting by the School Director when deemed necessary.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
In accordance with Article 20(c) of the Higher Education Law No. 2547, the duties and responsibilities of the School Board are as follows:
Determine the principles, plans, programs, and academic calendar related to the School’s education, training, scientific research, and publication activities.
Elect members to the School Administrative Board.
Carry out other duties assigned by relevant laws and regulations.
AUTHORITIES
Authorized to perform the above-mentioned duties and responsibilities.
Authorized to use necessary tools and resources to fulfill its functions.
Authorized to represent Girne American University within the scope of its authority.

ACCOUNTABILITY
The School Board is accountable to the School Director and Assistant Directors for performing all assigned duties in accordance with applicable laws and regulations.
