Over 300 International Students Who Had Joined To The Gau International Intercultural Peace Summer School Had Returned To Their Countries As Honorary Cultural Envoy

GAU Summer School which had been providing education under the Group of Schools of Girne American University  was finalized by the coordinated certificate ceremony.

Besides intensive lessons of English, computer, science nature experiments, talent fashion shows, ceramic, dance, fencing and swimming lessons at GAU American College Girne Campus, the guest students had had a chance to see TRNC’s natural beauty and historical richness by the coordinated culture trips.They had also taken the opportunity to join to the festivals of specific various regions throughout the island and had had a chance to get to know the Turkish Cypriot Culture and cuisine better.

Director of the American College International Summer Schools CelalSakka had stated that over 300 students from various countries such as Palestine, Lebanon, Libya, Persia, Russia, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine and Belarus had joined to the International Summer Schools and also expressed that traditionally coordinated international summer schools contributes to the country’s promotion.

Sakka had stated that during GAU International Summer Schools besides intensive theoretical educations,the summer school had ended with various cultural, artistic and sporting activities. Sakka had also stated that the foreigner students had returned to their countries as Cyprus Honorary Cultural Envoys. Sakka emphasizing the significance of GAU International Summer Schools at the point of recognition of the TRNC also underlined that the children of the world will take place at the crucial tasks, getting to know the TRNC better, they will return to their countries as a TRNC Honorary Envoys. He had also stated that GAU International Summer Schools will continue to produce projects for the next summer to present different aims, contribute to the country promotion and carry the student development to the top level with the intercultural dialogues.
