Organized in collaboration with CEEISA, the University of Sarajevo, and International Burch University under the main theme "Contesting Imperialism(s)," the international conference addressed current academic research in international relations, global order, and regional studies.

Within the scope of the conference program, Lecturer Atay Demirel presented his paper titled "Non-recognition or New Imperialism? Structural Subordination of Unrecognized States into the Global Order: The Case of Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus" in the "Economic Imperialisms" panel. The study academically examined the integration processes of unrecognized states into the global order through the case of TRNC.

Additionally, Demirel served as the Panel Chair and Panel Discussant for the session titled "Imperial Past / Imperial Present."
