Intensive Interest In GAU’s Flying Angels Project
Girne American University’s Humanities Faculty, Education Faculty and School of Nursing have undertaken a social responsibility project called “Flying Angels”. The project aims to give support for the care of children and elderly people, a project which should be an example to all segments of the society.
While applications from citizens seeking to give services in the Flying Angels project are continuing to swarm in preparations for applying the project from Kyrenia to Karpaz is continuing.
The Psychology Department of Humanities Faculty, Pre-school Teaching Department of the Education Faculty, the academic staff and students of the School of Nursing will work on the project in a pilot region from GAU Kyrenia to Karpas, especially with the opening of Karpaz Life Campus the project is aiming for the implementation throughout the TRNC stated a spokesperson from GAU.
“Intense interest in the applications to Project Coordinator Assistance and Service”
The project aims to provide care for needy children and elderly people in all segments of the sociaty and to cater for their education. Moreover, the project sets a good example not only for all sectors of the sociaty but an integration of university and community.

The Flying Angels project of GAU aims to contribute to societal and human development under the principle of happy and healthy children will lead to setting stronger foundations for a healthier society. The project is aimed at spreading to other cities.
“Medical and Psychological support along with care and educational services will be provided at home.”
Furthermore, the academic staff and students of School of Nursing will perform elderly care, medical and psychological support for the elderly in their homes, reading books, along with organising tasks of social sharing to increase cultural and artistic activities. Whereas, the the academic staff and students of the Pre-school Teaching Department will provide cognitive, social, emotional, psychomotor support for the pre-school age children of needy families.
