APPLICATIONS FOR COMPETİTİON WHİCH OFFERS AN AWARD OF FULL-SCHOLARSHİP AT GAU U.K CAMPUS ENDS ON APRİL THE 9TH.

The traditional High School Short Film Competition organized by Girne American University (GAU) Faculty of Communication is being held for the sixth time this year.

The 6th High School Short Film Competition is organized to contribute to the students ability to express and improve themselves through artistic activities, and to raise individuals who are sensitive to their environment and cultural values. Applications for the said competition will be accepted until Monday the 9th of April 2012.

According to Girne American University Communication Faculty’s statement, the application deadline for the 6th High School Short Film Competition which is organized to discover and support future film makers, to provide the students with the opportunity to express and improve themselves through artistic activities, and to raise individuals who are sensitive to their environment and cultural values is Monday the 9th of April 2012. It was stated that more than 100 works of art have already been submitted.

During the competition, several awards will be given with the decision of the jury which consists of GAU Faculty of Communication lecturers and famous artists and cinema authorities. This years biggest award is a one year full-scholarship for English Preparatory Education at Girne American University (GAU) UK Canterbury Campus.

In the statement, it has also been anounced that the second prize for the VI. High School Short Film Competition is 1500 Euros and a digital camera, and the third prize is 750 Euros and a Divx/DVD player.

It has been stated that detailed information about pre-registeration application forms and application regulations of GAU VI. In the statement, it has also been announced that the awards will be given after the presentation of the short films at Girne American University Cyprus Kyrenia Campus where elite Jury members, famous directors and cinema artists from Turkey and Cyprus will be present.
