Normal Motor Development (FZT114)

By examining the normal postnatal development process in terms of reflex and motor developmental stages, the developmental biomechanics, development of spinal curves, nervous system, reflexes, sensory and perception development, cardiovascular and pulmonary systems, psychomotor system development and pathological reflexes on normal developmental stages together with the factors affecting movement and function. It is aimed to gain knowledge and skills related to movement dysfunctions and motor development tests and their application.

Within the scope of these trainings, amputation causes, amputation levels, congenital amputations, necessary evaluations according to revisions of devices with prosthesis indication, basic mechanics of prosthesis, types of prosthesis, walking parts seen in lower extremity amputees, early and temporary prosthesis applications, myoelectric prosthesis, advanced technological prosthesis applications and amputees. revision, upper extremity amputee repair, stages, appropriate physiotherapy approaches, education with prosthesis, early and temporary prosthesis applications, lower and upper extremity amputation advanced technological prosthesis applications. The course will focus on deciding on the appropriate prosthesis for the patient with amputee or congenital limb deficiency, planning the appropriate treatment prosthesis for amputees, and planning for technological applications in the field of prosthesis replacement.

Pediatric Rehabilitation (FZT303)

Course Content; Neuromuscular system and motor skills development in children, neurological problems that negatively affect the chronological period, postnatal and postnatal motor skills, accurate assessment methods, evaluation of various developmental problems in childhood, physiotherapy and rehabilitation applications in cerebral palsy, obstetric brachial plexus injuries, mental and motor retardation.

Orthopedic Rehabilitation (FZT305)

Neurophysiological Approaches I (FZT311)

Within the scope of this course, the basic principles, philosophy and neurophysiological foundations of PNF, the place and purpose of use of PNF techniques in therapeutic exercises, teaching lower and upper extremity, trunk, head and neck PNF patterns, teaching and applying inhibition and facilitation techniques, cushion exercises, walking education, the principles of disease-specific PNF use, respiratory training with PNF, applications for oral functions, different uses of PNF techniques, the use of auxiliary agents. The course includes lecture type lectures and laboratory work.

Physiotherapy in Sports (FZT313)

The content of the course includes the effects of exercises on body systems, evaluation of athletes from different types and age groups, physical performance determination tests, physical fitness tests, nutrition in sports, sports psychology and approaches to disabled patients.

Pulmonary Rehabilitation (FZT315)

Cardiac Rehabilitation (FZT304)

Neurophysiological Approaches II (FZT310)

The aim of this course is to explain the causes of clinical features observed after stroke, to comprehend the basic features of measurement, evaluation and neurophysiological approaches applied in stroke rehabilitation and to reflect them to practice, to develop problem solving skills in the field of post-stroke physiotherapy and rehabilitation. Within the scope of neurodevelopmental therapy, it is aimed to teach the theoretical foundations and practical applications of Brunnstrom, Bobath and Johnstone methods used in hemiplegia rehabilitation. Students who take this course will learn clinical problem solving approach and evaluation methods with Bobath, positioning, trunk and upper extremity treatment and mobilization methods with Bobath, clinical evaluation and applications according to Brunnstrom method in stroke rehabilitation, evaluation principles and treatment protocol of stroke patients according to Margaret Johnstone method. learn the basics.

Neurological Rehabilitation (FZT308)

The aim of lesson; The clinical features of common neurological diseases such as motion sickness, demyelinating diseases, neuromuscular diseases, clinical features in terms of physiotherapy programs to be created in upper and lower motor neuron interactions, disease-specific assessment and evaluation and neurophysiological-based treatment applications are discussed.

DISABILITY AND LIFE: Its main aim is to introduce students to the key concepts and empirical results of the sociology of disability. This course, while mainly based on sociological works, will also draw on political science, history and socio-legal scholarship.

HEALTH COMMUNICATION: This course focuses on the growing field of health communication. Building on students’ knowledge of communication – public relations, advertising, journalism and marketing – this class aims to help students develop an area of specialization that offers career opportunities in many settings.

ERGONOMICS: This course on the application of knowledge about human capabilities and limitations to the design of workplaces, work methods and jobs for optimal safety, efficiency, productivity and comfort.

Within the scope of neurodevelopmental therapy, it is aimed to teach the theoretical foundations and practical applications of Brunnstrom, Bobath and Johnstone methods used in hemiplegia rehabilitation. DISABILITY AND LIFE: Its main aim is to introduce students to the key concepts and empirical results of the sociology of disability. This course, while mainly based on sociological works, will also draw on political science, history and socio-legal scholarship.

HEALTH COMMUNICATION: This course focuses on the growing field of health communication. Building on students’ knowledge of communication – public relations, advertising, journalism and marketing – this class aims to help students develop an area of specialization that offers career opportunities in many settings.

ERGONOMICS: This course on the application of knowledge about human capabilities and limitations to the design of workplaces, work methods and jobs for optimal safety, efficiency, productivity and comfort.

FIRST AID AND EMERGENCY: This course will teach the student how to recognize an emergency and how to respond. The student will be prepared to make appropriate decisions regarding first aid care and how to provide care for injuries or sudden illness until professional medical help arrives.

PHYSICAL THERAPY IN GERIATRIC: This course provides in-depth and up to date information about Geriatrics Physical Therapy covers Implications and Physiology of Age-Related and Lifestyle-Related Decline.
