This year the Inter High School Short Film Competiton organised by the GAU Communication Faculty is being held for the sixth time.

In a statement from the GAU Communcation Faculties’ Dean’s Office, it was denoted that the Inter-High Schools Short Film Competion is an opportunity to not only discover and support communication specialists and movie makers of the future but to give the students the medium to develope and express themselves with the assistance of artistic events and help educate them to become sensitive to the environment and obtain cultural awareness . Up to date nearly 100 works have applied and applications to The Inter-High School Short Film Competion will end on Monday 9 April 2012.
‘‘First Prize . Full Scholarship To Study At The GAU UK Campus.’’

In a statement from GAU it was emphasized that all students studying at high schools in the TRNC and Turkey will be able to enter this years Short Film Competition.

The decision of the jury comprising of lecturers from GAU Faculty of Communication and famous artists will give out various prizes and this years first prize is a full scholarship for English Preparatory education at the GAU UK Canterbury Campus.

Furthermore it was pointed out that a second prize of a 1500 Euros digital camera and a third prize of a 750 Euros Divx/DVD player will be given out at the GAU V1. Inter*High School Short Film Competition.

At the end of the competition the prizes will be presented after a screening of the films at the award ceremony which will be attended by the eminent jury, famous directors and film artists from Turkey and the TRNC .
