In an Exhibition of ‘Architectural an Interior Design student Projects’ organized by The Architectural Design and Fine Arts Faculty of Girne American University , the center of tourism Girne was recreated in the projects and designs.

Asim Vehbi vice president for the Board of Directors, Erhan Vechi,Rector’s Advisor and Prof. Dr. Guzin Demirkan Dean of Architectural Design and Fine Arts were present at the opening of the exhibition which took place in the Advanced Engineering Disciplines education complex, Techno Park of GAU.

Prof. Dr. Guzin Demirkan, Dean of Architectural Design and Fine Arts, Assist. Prof. Dr. Senem Zeybekoğlu Sadri and Assist. Prof. Dr. Hossein Sadrikonu Department Head for Architecture expressed important explanations to GAU TV.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Hossein Sadrikonu Department Head for Architecture and Assist. Prof. Dr. Senem Zeybekoğlu Sadri Department Head of Interior Design commented that tourism center Girne was spatially redesigned in the exhibition by bringing both the modern and historic Girne together via keeping the city’s natural texture, historical architecture, yacht port, library, congress and culture hall, along with walking routes and maintaining the green belts. Assist. Prof. Dr. Hossein Sadrikonu and Assist. Prof. Dr. Senem Zeybekoğlu Sadri stressed that Girnes cultural heritage must be protected in any redesigning process, and added that solutions for public and collective use of public areas were also provided for in the exhibition.
