Chairperson of Girne American University (GAU) Preparatory School Dr. Ferdiye Ersoy and the Dean of GAU Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Tanju Gürkan attended the 13th Foreign Language Symposium and Vocational Introduction Days that was traditionally held by Ankara Karacan Training Centres as speakers. Foreign language symposium took place in the first session and vocational introduction days took place in the 2nd symposium, which was held in two different sessions. Academicians from many universities of Turkey attended the symposium that was held at Ankara Kocatepe Conference Centre.
In the presentation she made, Chairperson of GAU Preparatory School Dr. Ferdiye Ersoy shared her knowledge and experience on increasing the quality in language education and teaching English that is the common language in the international platform. Giving information on the advantages GAU presented to its students with modern English education that is suitable with European Union Language Referenced Joint Framework Study and with professional educator staff, Ferdiye Ersoy touched upon the accreditation and assurance of quality issues. Ersoy has said that the students that graduate from GAU Preparatory School have a language certificate that is valid throughout the world with the education and international accreditations given to them.
Making a presentation on “Being in abroad” in the framework of the vocational introduction days of the symposium, the Dean of GAU Faculty of Education Prof. Dr. Tanju Gürkan explained what kind of skills are given to the young students by receiving education in abroad and then he touched upon the points that the parents and young students to pay attention when they chose the university and the country of the university for education in abroad. Promoting GAU in the conversation program that was broadcasted live from Ses TV on the same day, Gürkan expressed the conditions and advantages of GAU as well.
